How To Use This System

This section is designed to provide a resource on the functionality of the ANU Global Programs system. The first section includes a walkthrough guide to setting up an account and getting started with searching for programs.

How to search the system

There are a number of ways to search the Global Programs system. Make sure you utilise these functions when researching where you want to go!

Simple Search:

This search function allows you to search by program name, university, city, country, or region. It is best to use this function if you are search for a particular university or country.

Map Search:

This search function allows you to search visually by regions. If you are particularly interested in a certain country or region, this is a great way to create a short list.

Advanced Search:

This search function allows you to limit by many different parameters, including language, country, or year level.  You can select multiple parameters from each category (eg. two languages if you are bilingual).

Getting started

Although the system is openly accessible for browsing, students wishing to apply for a program will need first to set up an account. To set up an account, click on Login/Register and follow the steps. Further information about this can be found in the walkthrough guide available at the link on the right.

How to apply for programs

To apply for a program using the ANU Global Programs system, the first step is to click on the "Program Search" tab and search for programs in the area/field/term of interest to you. Once you have found the program you are after, it's simply a matter of reading the brochure for the program and then clicking "Apply Now". However, application periods for programs vary and you may find different programs can only be applied for at different points of the year.

Many programs, including our exchange program, require you to preference and apply for more that one institution.  Further information about this can be found in the walkthrough guide available at the link on the right.
